Eeek!! White Hairs!

It happened!!!!! The moment when you know you officially are getting older. The moment you cringe, maybe even cry a little bit. The dreaded first white hairs!!!!!

No, no! It is not the hair on my head. I have had a few white hairs there for a while now. Which, in all reality, never really bothered me that much. I am mostly blonde, so thanks to hair magic, you don’t really notice my white hairs! ;)

The white hairs I am talking about are…..THE ONES ON YOUR CHEST AND EYEBROWS!!!!!!!!!

Seriously!!!!

I had one of each both appear within days of each other. I guess Mother Nature was being nice and giving me a few months grace from turning 30, to give me the tell tale signs that yes, I am indeed getting older!

I was sitting reading one evening and I could feel something tickling my chest. I kept brushing at it, without the feeling going away. I finally went into the bathroom, into brighter lighting to see if I could see something on my sweater. When I noticed IT!!!! This fine, white, LONG hair!!!! Like honestly, almost an inch long! Tres hot, I know! I immediately pulled it out and glared at it. Then went onto frantically pulling at my upper chest all over to see if I could find any others. Calmed down some, but still horrified, I went back to reading.

THEN…. a few days later, I was washing my face in the bathroom (damned lights are too good I think, see too much!), and I noticed what I thought looked like a thread or something else on my face, at the corner of my eyebrows. On closer inspection, it too was this little white hair, poking up. Trying to blend in with my other eyebrow hairs….but ohhh no! I got my tweezers out and plucked that bad boy out STAT!

I am kinda afraid that I might wake up soon and be the wolf man like Michael J Fox in Teen Wolf!!! Except mine will all be white fine hairs…. imagine the Easter Bunny!! ;)

Ok, I know that this really isn’t the end of the world. And a couple white hairs is really nothing. But come on!! Within a couple days of each other!? Crazy! When did you start noticing things that made you think you were getting older? And how did you feel about them when you found/noticed them!?

    I know this horror all too well (though the chest hair is a tad odd?!). Brow whities and a few on my head have shown up without invitation.

    Your not alone Crystal. I have a white hair that grows in my eye brow now too. Oh and a black hair that grows on my chin lol. Being 30 sucks

    My last professional hair dye appointment the stylist took me to a lighter shade of blonde (think platinum) – my 5 yo asked me if I was going to die soon – since my hair had all turned white. Needless to say – less than 3 hours later mama had a box of dye from Shoppers in hand :)
