Ongoing: $20 Any Time Lift Tickets until end of Season at Calabogie Peaks! Enjoy our excellent conditions for only $20! Mother Nature will be sending more snow our way this week so enjoy ski season a little longer! All lift tickets are only $20!!! – We’re going all the way to Easter Sunday (and perhaps beyond). http://www.calabogie.com

Ongoing: Arnprior Early Years Center Play and Learn Drop In. Every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 9-11:30am. All children 0-6 and their parents and caregivers are invited to come to this interactive playgroup. Meet other parents, caregivers and children while you have fun learning together! www.arnweb.com/afprc

Ongoing: Arnprior Early Years Well Baby Drop- In. 1st and 3rd Wednesday’s beginning at 9:30am. A nurse from the Public Health Unit will be available to discuss infant and toddler growth, development and other parenting issues. Baby weigh in and breastfeeding support are available. www.arnweb.com/afprc

Ongoing: Arnprior Early Years Baby Café – Rhyme Time – Join us for a fun morning of finger plays, songs and more for you and your little one. This fun parent/ child interactive program is intended for children under the age of 18 months. Please call for more information or to register. 2 Thursdays a month at 9:30-10:30am

Ongoing: Arnprior Early Years Little Chefs The Little Chefs cooking classes are all about fun! Children will learn the basics of food preparation, cooking techniques, healthy eating – but most of all, they’ll learn how to create and enjoy great food.  Registration required. This is a drop off program, anyone who chooses to stay is asked to wait in the cloakroom. $50/4week session.

Ongoing: Arnprior Early Years Preschool PAL (play and learn) program This delightful two hour program focuses on thematic units that encourage curiosity, self direction and confidence. Daily activities such as circle time, a science based activity, craft, stories and songs will surely delight our toilet trained preschoolers while providing a well deserved break for mom or dad.  Snack will be provided.  This is a drop off program. Please call for more information or to register. $25/4 week session. 

Ongoing: Arnprior Library Children’s Department The Arnrpior Library hosts many different programs for babies and children off all ages. Please see their website for more details!

Ongoing: Programs at the Pakenham Library. There are many different programs for kids and adults alike that take part at the Pakenham Library. Please see website for information.

Ongoing: Book Club at the Pakenham Library 7-8:30 pm – 1st Wednesday of each month If you are a book lover come and share your love with like-minded individuals.  The first meeting will determine the reading list for the remainder of the year, so come with a title or two in mind.  Refreshments provided.  New members and drop-ins always welcome. Ongoing: Story Time at the Almonte Library. Every Friday from September – June.  Drop-in Story Time Fridays 10:00 am – 10:30 am Children 2-3 years of age. Enjoy interactive, fast paced stories, rhymes and songs. Parents and caregivers are required to stay with their children and siblings are welcome to join in. Pre-registered Story Time Fridays 11:00 am – 11:45 am Children 4 years of age and older. Registration is required before 3 pm on Thursday.More involved stories and a craft are offered.  Parents and caregivers are not required to stay in the library.

Ongoing: Ladies Group Fitness in Arnprior – (All levels welcome) Fitness Centre (downstairs of the Quality Inn Hotel). Classes are offered Wednesday evenings 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. (Body Toning). Great Music – Vibrant Ladies – leave feeling strong and healthy! Ongoing: Words 2 Live By with Jen Charbonneau – Various dates and locations. This unique after school/lunch time program offers girls a chance to gather with others who share their challenges, their interests and their desire to learn new things. The program is designed to help girls sort through the daily “drama” that can influence friendships, self esteem, thoughts of “where I fit in” and everyday challenges. Each session will combine group discussions and creative expression through journaling and scrapbooking. Most importantly, girls will continue to build self esteem, self acceptance and a toolbox to manage challenges. For more info please see website So Glad 2 Be Me!

Ongoing: Friday from 1-3pm Tot Time Cafe A community drop-in for moms and caregivers on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 1 – 3:00 p.m.  Children play close by while moms enjoy some time to chat.  Gourmet coffee and snacks are available.  At the Arnprior Wesleyan Church. Ongoing starting Friday March 1st – Calabogie Winter Blues Series Calabogie Peaks Resort & Conference Centre is featuring a series of Apres Ski Blues bands for the winter months. www.calabogie.com

March 1st – 3rd – TIMBER TOUR event at Calabogie Peaks Resort. Come on out and watch Freestyle Skiing Ontario’s TIMBER TOUR event at Calabogie Peaks Resort March 1 – 3! Watch amazing athletes twist – turn – bump and grind their way through our mogul maze! www.ontariofreestyle.com

Saturday March 2nd – Fun Fair & Puppet Show at the Arnprior Mall. Zelda and the Zingers will be holding a fun fair and puppet performances at the Arnprior Mall Saturday, March 2. The show will be directed by Carolyn Fraser of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church. Fraser has gathered a team of teenagers to entertain throughout the Ottawa Valley and even farther afield in a series of puppet performances. She invites the public to the Zelda and the Zingers event, which runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Puppet performances will be held at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Prior and during show time, there will be fair, bake sale, and silent auction for all to enjoy. Cost for the fun fair is seven tickets for $5. Proceeds will help the youth group attend a regional festival in Rochester, New York.

Saturday March 2nd – HA HA For Hospice in Calabogie – Yuk Yuk’s stand up comedy. Place: Shooters Bar and Grill, 4988 Calabogie Rd. at 8:30 pm. Dinner is available before show. Monday March 11 – Friday March 15th – March Break Camp at the Nick Smith Center in Arnprior. Arnprior parks and rec youth programs have teamed up with lawrence mahusky to offer a fun filled “stepping into the spotlight” camp! Mask making, dance, vocals, drama, a trip and tour of obrien theatre, commercial making at my fm, makeup, skating and swimming, and more make this a week to remember! $100 for the week! Thursday March 14th – Breastfeeding Support Group at the Arnprior Early Years. This group will provide mother to mother breastfeeding support, information and encouragement in a relaxed atmosphere. 9:30am

Sunday March 17th – St Patricks Day Dance in Pakenham. Stewart Community Centre Pakenham starting at 7pm.

Ottawa Valley Moms hosts events in and around Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley. We host events that are suitable for parents and their children and we also host Girl's Night Out regularly.
